The remains of smelting workshop were found in the lower reaches of the Masuda River from Tsumo Mine Ruins Site, which was in operation during 14 – 15C.

It located in between the mine and a main road, which suggests the mine was in operation in 13 – 16C.

Many potter wares were also found from the ruins which is another indicator how this area flourished then.
