26 Ayu, sweetfish and uruka, its fermented viscera

“Masudake Monjo”(Masuda clan archives) says that Masuda Fujikane (the then lord of the Masuca clan) and his son Motoyoshi served gorgeous dishes with many gifts to Mori Motonari when they visited him at Yoshida Koriyama castle in 1568.

It was to impress him the power and wealth they had.
Ayu and uruka, likely to be from Takatsu and Hikimi River, was on the menu and they both are still considered as specialties of the area.
